It's honestly been one hell of a week.
I was away in Galway last weekend visiting the Junior World Powerlifting Champion himself (yes, ladies and gentlemen, I'm on more than first name terms with him xP). Was funsies. I like Galway. Wanna go back before Christmas to see it all be pretty, but alas work hates me so prolly won't be able to. =(.
Rightio. Got back from Galway Sunday afternoon, and had work 3 hours later. S'all goods, right? Not really, no. The boss man was already kinda pissed at me for not being able to cover someone elses shift on the Saturday and made those 3 and a half hours a living hell. I didn't know you could cut onions so small! >.<. Before I went to work I checked in on the cat faces. Wasn't really difficult to miss Dexter's, as half of it was twice it's normal size! He had this mouth ulcer for a while, and I was keeping an eye on it, and all seemed fine was clearing up and what not. But whatever happened over those 3 days made it all infected and swollen. He went to the vets the following day to get it checked out. Mr. Vet said it was some sort of infection, because he had sores going down the back of his throat too. Gave him a few shots, handed us pills; 1 twice a day for 7 days, and bring him back next week and everything should be fine. As he was finishing up, he says, oh, it might be FIV (Cat AIDS, yes, it's real) and there's a possibility he'll need to be euthanized. Thanks Mr. Vet!
THANKFULLY! He's all better. The swelling went down in days, and the sores have all cleared up, and he was a little trooper taking those tablets. Still a bit tender but he's fine. Sleeping on my bed right now actually. =).
Rest of the week went oki. Saw HP 7.1 TWICE! (I'm cool like that =D). And worked a whole load. But yay monies =D. Made a website in 10 minutes in Dorel's class and now have to make a fan site for Ben face and the World Champion himself. Better start cracking on them soon.
SO! Yesterday was probably really really lame. Started off amazingly! Woke up to snow! SNOW! EVERYWHERE! So happy! XD. Sam and me had planned to go to Newbridge so she could get a dress for her Christmas party which is next Saturday (I'm her plus 1, and it should be fun.). We got there about 10ish, and about an hour later got a call from Dan saying Junior, Dixon and Sheaba had a big scrap out the back, but presumably they were all oki dokes. We didn't really think much of it, because Dan had said they all seemed fine. When we got home after 3 we checked on Dix and he was in a bad way. No physical wounds, all internal. Took him to the vet straight away and he was pretty much just rushed away from us. They put him in an oxygen tank, sedated him, and did some x-rays. Junior had fractured his ribs, and one of his lungs was punctured as a result. They couldn't tell if it was a small puncture or a large one. Only time could pretty much tell. They drained off the air and kept him in overnight and said they'd get back to us. Chances were pretty 50/50 on whether he'd make it through the night. They rang this afternoon and he's doing ok. =). No more air had leaked out, so the puncture was only small and presumably healed itself over. His breathing is ok considering his ribs being crushed. He's not in the all clear yet, but his odds are good. He's staying in the vets for a few nights for observations and what not. But they say he's a fighter (Which we already knew). They'll keep us updated on his condition but as it stands things seem to be ok. =D. Daisy is missing him lots though, and every time the front door is opened she's standing there waiting for him to come in. Silly kitty. He should hopefully be home soon and we'll all be happy out. =).
Pictures:Dix and me watching The Nightmare Before Christmas on Friday night. =). (Bad quality, taken with web cam on my lappy.)
