Sheesh Kayla!
Sorry, it's been actually AGES since I've blogged. I have the perfect excuse though! Dan has had my laptop charger for forever! (His blew up, *cough*over-use*cough*) and we got two ickle kittens a few weeks back. Oh! I've also been kinda busy having a life =P.
Where to start. Suppose I'll start with the kittens. Snuki, our original three year old cat disappeared off the face of the Athy region. We went away for a night, and she got out of the house while we were packing the car without us realising and then she kinda wandered off and never came back. I was very sadface because I loved that annoying cat that was hardly able to validate the name cat. So, I guess she was an anti-cat. Anyhoo, we put up posters and did the usual kinda stuff you do when a loved family pet goes missing, but alas she never turned up. Our postman, Billy, he's quite awesome, collects stray cats. Much to his wife's dislike. One of his cats had kittens, and he wanted to get rid of them fairly fast and told Sam that Dexter needed company now that Snuki was no longer here. Sam left Dan in charge the day the kittens arrived, and instead of just taking one, we got two instead; Dixon and Daisy. Sam chose the names. I wanted to call them Sid and Nancy. We got them when they were 6 weeks old and TEENY! Also, not litter trained, noisy as hell, and as annoying as possible. To be frank, I disliked them from the beginning. But, they're starting to grow on me now. Especially Dixon, because he likes to sleep on my ankles when I read =D.
Other Sca! As some might say. I got a job. FINALLY! I am now a proud employee of Apache Pizza. Yeah, I get to make pizza for a living, suck on those apples! It's nice, I've only been working a few days a week for the past three weeks. A job is a job, and money is money, which was something I was in dire need of. My bank account is going to look so pretty now. =D.
College has started back up again. Yet again we have no timetable, so maybe they'll give us an extra week off like last year. Here's hoping. Brendy was able to tell us that we were going to have an Italian lecturer this year though. That should be qiute entertaining to say the least. Roll on Monday to see what's actually going to happen. And fingers crossed for Friday's off again =).
In my last post I mentioned the Censura gig in Shannon. It was amayonaising! I got to see and hang out with all the old guys again. They also threw me into the trunk of Hayley's car, thanks to my brother Jambo for that one. Went to the Knight's for the first time too (A thing you have to understand about Shannon, they Knight's is where it's all happening, and where everyone seems to live at the weekends, I was too young to go before I left, and now that I've gone, I don't think I've been missing out on much to be honest xP). Jambo and a few of the others work there. I was threatened to be barred more than once. Thanks =). Also, embarrassment from Hayley's front, cheers for telling the bouncers that I was Jambo's little sister. There goes my street cred down the drain =P. Anyway, the gig was quite spectacular I must say. A pretty fun weekend had by all.
T'was my birthday a few weeks back. I got eggcups!! Yes, you may think that I'm quite lame for being so excited about receiving egg cups for my birthday, but see, they're in the shape of Guinness pints, and we also have no eggcups. Except we bought four more today. Oh well.
This post is going on FOREVERS! Just a few more things to mention me thinks.
We're getting a new dog. The guy down the road is moving house and can't bring his MASSIVE dog with him. He's a wolf/alsatian called Wolfy Jnr. =). Gonna be a whole heap of fun around here from now on with him and Sheaba to look after. As well as the three cats, who, by the way, will probably be fed to the dogs if they dont' snap outta it! >.<. They're just being mega annoying lately.
We're re-doing the whole house! They're moving me in to the ickle room and the boys into my room cos it's bigger. No biggy, I don't have that much stuff anyway so it's all awesome sauce. I got to choose the paint though. PURPLE!!! We bought the kitchen appliances today, and the rest of the kitchen will be got during the week, or something like that. Also got to try out a few sofas. They were hella comfy, but not was awesome as that green one I saw in the first place we went to. Pure sex in cushion form there lads. =). I'll probably take some before and after shots of the whole thing for us, and I might post a few.
Roish, me thinks that's enough. Gonna mention my black band buddy Batman in here, because he mentioned me in one of his latest blogs. Go follow him, I don't have a link, but he follows me, stalk him and read his blog. =).
