Roish! Back again. Man, I'm starting to let myself down. Not as bad as Jonnie though xP.
So, as the title suggests it's been raining non-stop (kinda) again! It's frikken July! Ya hear that weather? JULY!! SUMMER!! Where's my sun damn it! >.<
Reference to shutter, anyone wanna take a guess? No, ok, it's cameras... I've been wanting to head out and get some more work done. I dislike taking pictures in the rain for fear of camera and lens damage. I love them too much to let stuff happen to them. It's also rather difficult to hold a SLR camera and an umbrella at the same time as well as taking a picture. It's actually super not cool, because this years lily's have just flowered and I wanted to take some pictures of them before the dog/kids knocked all the petals off. I'm too late, almost, there's about 3 left fully intact.
It's really not just the rain stopping me from taking pictures. It's the whole lack of motivation. I'm the kind of person who has to succeed at everything they try, and everything has to be perfectly done. The perfectionist gene runs in my family, well in the black sheep streak of my family. Go me and Sam! So, lack of motivation means bad pictures. Bad pictures means not perfect. Not perfect means frustrated Kayla. And that's never good. Maybe next week will brighten up a bit. Good news always helps, so fingers crossed for nice post =).
Kitty time for Pirate face! Dexter is getting hooje!! Still teeny compared to Sheab's and Snuk's, but has grown considerably since we took him in. I was looking at some of the first ever pictures I took of him, and he was so cute and fluffy. Now he's just a hell raiser. Typical tom-cat. He has also fully become Sheaba's baby. He mews when they're not together; scratching at the back door to either be let out, or her in. When they're both in the house, Sheaba follows him everywhere. I caught her trying to get through the top stair gate the other day because he was already upstairs. She also has a need to constantly clean him, so when she's around Dexter is all slimy and wet and gross. Sheaba also picks him up and carries him around. I was on the phone last night, and had to stop the conversation to yell at her to put him down. The person on the other end of the phone thought it was some kind of malicious attacked taken out on the kitten, took me quite a while to explain to them that our German Shepherd guard dog is really a softy at heart. Just one that you don't want to meet whilst trying to sneak into our house in the dead of night.
Another week/weekend is over. What did I do this week? Not a whole lot. Sam was working a few extra hours as she went away this weekend for a kid free break, so I was minding Mr. T and his not so famous brother Mr. E a little bit more than normal, and then for the whole weekend. I'm not going to lie to you. It wasn't that fun at all. Let's put it this way, I like my bed, I like being in my bed alone. I do not enjoy being pushed out of my bed at 2 am so a 3 year old has room to spread his arms as far as he can. Get the picture? Oh yes, it was a learning experience to say the least. To complete what a perfect weekend I was having, I managed to somehow catch Sam's mutated cold/throat killing monster!
So to summarise, one weekend, two boys under 6, one sick Kayla. It was amayonaising.
